Dental Surgeon Mark Burhenne is recommending CBD to his patients, he says to "calm the anxiety that comes from a visit to the dentist and to speed up the healing process of those who underwent dental surgery."
He goes on to say in the article in Fresh Toast, he also suggests his patients use CBD for pain relief, which is often caused by the inflammation from dental work.
"CBD is one of the most powerful anti-inflammatory compounds in the world and generally has zero side effects. You can't say that about any medication prescribed for pain," he says.
It is important to note though that no studies have been done specifically on the use of CBD in dentistry and CBD can cause reduced saliva which is important for oral health.
Even so, we want to become patients of Mark's!
